The Oil Press House, also known as Villa “Katerina” to locals, is an authentic building of unique beauty and character which was originally built in 1862 and faithfully restored by Sifnian craftsmen in 1985.

The property is situated in Apollonia, the main village of Sifnos island. As is the norm with the villages of Apollonia, Artemonas, etc., you approach the property on foot (approx. 150 metres from the road).

The original building was an olive oil, wine and cheese producing site and many of its original features have been lovingly preserved, such as its 60 – 75 cm wide stone walls and what appears to be the widest stone arch (“volto”) in Sifnos, as well as the olives’ grinding stones and wooden axel.
